Ketamine FAQs

Ketamine therapy is a medical treatment used to support patients struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic stress, and other mental health conditions. At Flow Wellness, ketamine therapy is provided in a calm, medically supervised environment with personalized treatment plans designed around your goals and symptoms.

Ketamine works differently than traditional antidepressants. Instead of only affecting serotonin levels, ketamine influences glutamate pathways in the brain that are involved in mood, neuroplasticity, and emotional processing. Many patients at Flow Wellness report improvements in mood, clarity, motivation, and emotional resilience.

Flow Wellness may use ketamine therapy as part of a personalized treatment plan for:

  • Treatment-resistant depression
  • Anxiety
  • PTSD and trauma-related symptoms
  • Burnout and chronic stress
  • Suicidal ideation
  • Mood instability

Your provider will review your health history to determine whether ketamine therapy is appropriate for you.

Some patients notice improvements within hours or days after treatment, while others experience more gradual changes over several sessions. Ketamine is known for acting faster than many traditional antidepressant medications.

Patients commonly describe ketamine sessions as calming, reflective, or dream-like. Some people feel emotionally lighter or mentally clearer afterward. Flow Wellness provides a comfortable, monitored setting designed to help patients feel safe and supported throughout the experience.

When administered by experienced medical professionals, ketamine therapy is generally considered safe and well tolerated. At Flow Wellness, treatments are medically supervised and tailored to each patient’s needs, with monitoring throughout the session.
